Gifted on Purpose: Discovering What You’re Made to Give
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.”
Romans 12:6 (NIV)
God never gives gifts at random. He is intentional. Personal. Specific. He has placed something inside you that is meant to be given away, not because you are obligated, but because you were created to make a difference.
Your spiritual gifts are not just traits or hobbies. They are holy tools, entrusted to you by God’s grace. When you learn what they are and how they work, something shifts. You begin to step into your role, not with pressure, but with purpose.
What You Carry Is Meant to Be Shared
You may have gifts you don’t fully recognize yet. Encouragement. Leadership. Mercy. Wisdom. Administration. Faith. Teaching. Maybe people have told you they see something in you. Maybe you’ve sensed it yourself, but weren’t sure if it counted. It does.
Your gifts are not for your benefit alone. They are meant to build, bless, and bring light. They matter to the people around you. And they matter to the body of Christ.
You Were Made to Contribute Something Only You Can
In Discover Your Divine Design, your gifts become part of the bigger picture of your calling. This part of the journey helps you name what you’ve been given and explore how to use it with grace and confidence.
You don’t have to do everything. You just have to do your part, and trust that God will work through it.
Reflect:
What comes easily to you that seems to lift others up? What are you doing when you feel most connected to God’s work in the world? Read Romans 12 again. What gift might be waiting inside you, ready to be used for something far bigger than you imagined?
